Rugelach

Ingredients

½ Pound butter

½ Pound cream cheese

2 Cups flour

Cinnamon

Sugar

Chopped nuts

Raisins

Apricot jelly

Instructions

Have butter and cheese at room temp. Cream in a mixer and then add dough. Just get it mixed. Make 6 discs and wrap in saran and refrigerate overnight. Roll out in a mix of cinnamon, sugar and a bit of flour. Sprinkle dough with cinnamon/sugar. Then add chopped nuts and raisins all over dough leaving center of circle kind of spare for roll up purposes.

Cut into 8 pie shaped pieces. On wide edge of each add a dab of apricot jelly or whatever. Apricot is my favorite. Roll up and place on Silpat or parchment paper. Bake at 350° oven, in UPPER 1/3 of oven. About 20 -25 min. Check bottom of rugelach as can get very brown. I do only I pan at a time. Freezes well. Can sprinkle so me cinnamon sugar on to p before baking.
